Itinerary

Day 1 Hanoi arrival, welcome to Vietnam

You are welcomed at Noi Bai airport and transferred to downtown. Check in hotel. The rest of time is your free time to walk around the city to have your first impression of the capital of Vietnam with a long rich history. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2 Hanoi – Halong Bay. O/n on board

You arrive in Hanoi train station at 5.00 am, you walk to mini hotel for early check in. Have breakfast at hotel. This morning at 8 am the driver picks you up at hotel and transfers from Ha Noi to Halong city on car about 3.5 hours to Ha Long City and have views simple, country side, rice paddy life. At 12.00, the junk crews welcome guests on board at Hon Gai Wharf. Enjoy welcome drinks and check in deluxe cabin on Junk.

Then start cruise program and excursions a Fantastic cruise in Bai Tu Long Bay ,visit Poem Mountain, the center market, Teapot islet, Goat’s head islet, Indochina film studio up to your imagination. You will visit Thien Canh Son Cave is a great time for exploring the hidden lagoons in Bai Tu Long Bay. Next enjoy swimming in the crystal water of Bai Tu Long Bay.

Day 3 Halong – Hanoi

Wake up early in the morning for a great sunrise and a breath of fresh ocean air. This morning you do a leisurely cruise through thousands of seemingly never ending islands. This is a chance to capture some amazing photographs, you stop to visit a floating fishing village and listen to some legendary stories of the fishermen’s daily life. Then take swimming somewhere in the middle of the bay to refresh. Then the junk cruises back to the Halong city pier & ashore the pier.

The driver welcomes you at the pier and hit the road back to Hanoi. On the way back Ha Noi you will have chance to see beautiful landscapes. You arrive in Ha Noi at 16.30 pm. In the evening you are free to enjoy and discover Ha Noi city to get more experience of people here. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4 Hanoi – Ha Giang

Have breakfast at hotel. This morning you will leave Hanoi for Ha Giang Province. You will on car/van about 7 hours with the most breathtaking of spectacular scenes in Vietnam. En route you will visit small villages before reaching Ha Giang and it is great to take photos.

On arrival Ha Giang you will make a walking around Tay and Nung village to catch picturesque landscapes of villages and valley. You will spend a night at mini hotel in Ha Giang.

Day 5 Ha Giang – Quan Ba – Yen Minh – Lung Cu – Dong Van

Have breakfast at hotel. In the morning you will leave Ha Giang and drive to Quan Ba district for more exploration. En route you will have chance to stop and viist the Bo Y minority people in Quan Ba where the cool weather has all year round. On arrival Yen Minh town

In the afternoon you will go on your trip to Sa Phin village where to can see Hmong people and visit the Former Hmong King’s Palace. Next you will have chance to trek up Lung Cu Mountain and conquer Lung Cu Flag Tower – the north Pole of Vietnam and border with China. After that you will reach Dong Van District in late afternoon and make a leisure time after checking in hotel.

In the evening you make a walking around the town for more experience and enjoyment of Dong Van. Overnight at hotel.

Day 6 Dong Van - Ma Pi Leng Pass - Meo Vac - Ba Be Lake

Have breakfast at hotel. If your trip is on Sunday today you will have chance to visit Dong Van ethnic market where you can see the colors of ethnic people to purchase all kinds of goods. It seems that all traditional values still remain here. Make more experiences at villages and tribe people here before leaving Dong Van. This morning you will visit and take photos at Dong Van Rock Plateau at 1400 – 1600 meter of sea level. The plateau was recognized by the UNESCO as one of the 77 geological parks in the world and the second in Southeast Asia on October 3. Then drive along Nho Que River and come across Ma Pi Leng Pass – the most beautiful pass in Vietnam and take photos of spectacular sights.

In the afternoon you continue your trip to Meo Vac. It takes you about two hours on car/van to reach Meo Vac, and then continue your trip to arrive in Ba Be Lake. Check in stilt house at Pac Ngoi village.

Day 7 Ba Be Lake – Hanoi

Am: Have breakfast at the family. Wake up early in the mountain and peaceful village to enjoy the tranquil life and lively activities at the tribe village. Then you will take a boat trip on Ba Be Lake which is the largest one in Vietnam with the water area of 500 hecta on 8km length. You will have chance to visit Puong cave in Ba Be National Park to visit and explore the most beautiful cave in this national park. Next you take a boat to visit the spectacular waterfall of Dau Dang for more exploration.

In the afternoon you will continue making a boat trip to visit Pac Ngoi village for more experience. After that you will leave Ba Be for return Hanoi City with the distance of 240 km. You will arrive in Hanoi in late afternoon. Check in hotel.

Day 8 Hanoi city tour – Night train to Hue

Have breakfast at hotel. You have full day to visit Ha Noi city with rich history of cultures. Enjoy special in Ha Noi Capital City and Old Quarter. You will visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Presidential Palace, and his residential place, then the Temple of Literature where is Vietnam’s first University, built in twelfth century, to teach the royals the Confucius theory. Here you will also have a chance to see a traditional music performance.

This afternoon you go on visiting one of museums in Ha Noi such as Museum of Ethnology, Women’s Museum, History Museum or Quan Thanh Temple. You have a walk around Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi’s fascinating Old Quarter for some great fun, shopping, and can try street side traditional food. Today you have chance to enjoy water puppet show at theater is an unforgettable experience of Ha Noi culture and special thing.
Then the driver drops you off Ha Noi Railway Station for taking night train to Hue. Overnight on train with AC soft sleeper – Cabin of 4.

Day 9 Hue – DMZ – Khe Sanh on motorbike

Have breakfast at hotel. This morning our guide welcome you at hotel in Hue city and make acquainted to motorbike. This is an adventure time on motorbike to explore Central Vietnam. You will leave Hue and go ahead on National Highway No1 to Quang Tri Province to visit Hien Luong Bridge, Ben Hai River and come across to visit the famous DMZ where was marked as the border of North and South Vietnam in the war from 1954 to 1972. Here is the chance for you to visit Museum, the 17th Parallel, Vinh Moc tunnels – an underground network tunnel of villagers built to avoid the bombing during the war. You will have chance to see the specialty of Vietnamese with war living conditions of wells, kitchens, rooms fro family, hospitals, etc.

This afternoon you go on riding to Highway No 9 to Khe Sanh Combat Base which was the famous sieges of American Vietnamese War, and was the site of a United State base that fell under attack in early 1968. At this place you will visit the museum of Ta Con airport to see the things in nature of the fierce war, and how hard Quang Tri people fight against the enemy. Check in hotel in Lao Cao town.

Day 10 Khe Sanh - A Luoi – Prao. Home stay

Have breakfast at hotel. This morning you continue riding motorbike to leave Khe Sanh and cross through Dakrong Bridge, the starting point of Highway 15, one of the main branches of the legend Ho Chi Minh Trail. On this trail you will reach A Luoi District with come across A Shau Valley. En route you will have chance to see and meet Ka Tu, Ta Oi, Van Kieu tribe people to learn more of their culture as well as see the imposing forest of Vietnam along Ho Chi Minh Trail.

In the afternoon you will walk A Luoi local market for more exploration of daily activities of local people. Next, you ride your motorbike around A Luoi town for exploring beauties of this new developing town of Hue province, cross Aroang Village for more experiences of local tribe people on Ho Chi Minh trail. You will reach Prao Town where you spend a night at BhoHoong Village. En route you will stop, take a bath and relax at Waterfall for more refreshment. You will arrive in BhoHoong Village in the late afternoon. Check in home stay. You have a chance to meet minority people to know more of weaving textile… of Ka Tu people. Enjoy traditional music show is performed by Ka Tu minority people to learn of cultural and daily activities of this ethnic people. Overnight in stilt house.

Day 11 Prao – Da Nang - Hoian

Wake up early to enjoy the village life in the forest. Then you walk around the village to enjoy fresh air as well as daily activities of local people. Check out stilt house and continue your journey to Da Nang City. On arrival Da Nang, have breakfast at hotel. After that you ride motorbike ahead to Hoi An. En route you have chance to visit Cham Museum in Da Nang where displays the whole culture and collections of Cham people in Vietnam to feel about legend stories of glorious stage of ancient Champa Kingdom and to enjoy its simple and elegant patterns and visit Marble mountains known as Five Mountains of 5 elements creating universe: metal, wood, water, fire and earth where you discover caves and pagoda and view the panorama of nice beach. On arrival Hoi An Ancient town, check in your hotel.

This afternoon is your free time to explore Hoi An ancient town or relax on nice sandy beach Cua Dai. Overnight at hotel.

Day 12 Hoian – Cham island & snorkeling

Have breakfast at hotel. This morning the driver picks you up at 8:00 - 8:25 am and transfer to the pier. Get on board.
At 8:45 am you departure from the pier and ahead to Cham Island. At 10:00am you arrive in the islands, snorkeling on coral reef (MPA) and sightseeing of the island. At 11:30 am you are transfered to Bai Chong beach for leisure (or stay on board and make snorkeling at second site).

This afternoon is your time to enjoy on the beach, hammock time, swimming & extra snorkeling on beach (masks, snorkels & guide as disposal), visit the local fishing villages & discovering island life by walk through the mountain or boat cruising with a guide.
At 15:30 pm you departure from the beach to return to mainland. At 16:45pm the boat lands in Cua Dai pier. The driver picks at the pier and transfers you back hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 13 Hoian – Da Nang – flight to Buon Me Thuot

Have breakfast at hotel. In the morning you will spend your time to walk around Hoian ancient town for more exploration its charming. Visit old houses of Tan Ky, Phuc Kien Hall, Ong pagoda, Sa Huynh Museum, Japanese Bridge and enjoy traditional music show at old house..

In the afternoon you are transferred to Danang airport for taking flight to Buon Me Thuot. On arrival guide and driver pick up and transfer you to hotel. Check in hotel

Day 14 Buon Me Thuot – Lak Lake (BLD)

Have breakfast at hotel. This morning you leave Buon Me Thuot for Lak Lake. En route you stop over at pepper gardens, coffee plantation and learn the way how local people to grow these kinds of trees on the red bazan soil of Tay Nguyen. Arrive in Lak Lake; check in hotel or long house.

You will make a unique boat to visit Lak Lake, learn how to catch fishes by traditional way. Then you take part in elephant riding of M’nong people. At night you will enjoy traditional music show of Tay Nguyen people which is recognized of Intangible World Heritage by UNESCO. Overnight in Lak Lake.

Day 15 Lak Lake - Buon Me Thuot – flight to Ho Chi Minh

Have breakfast at hotel. This morning you will visit Don Village of Gia Rai tribe people with a traditional long house more than 115 years old which was built by wood. This house has the culture of Thailand and Laos. Here you have chance to learn of Don Culture and the way people catch elephant and teach them to serve as people aims. Once more thing you should not miss is Serepok suspension bridge. Then you will visit the forest for more exploration.

In the afternoon the driver drops you off the airport for taking flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, our guide and driver pick up and transfer you to hotel. Check in hotel. The rest of time is your free time to experience Ho Chi Minh City – the large and busy one in Vietnam. Overnight at hotel.

Day 16 Ho Chi Minh City

Have breakfast at hotel. In the morning our guide and driver welcome you at hotel and take you to start a full day Ho Chi Minh city tour. First you will visit Notre Dame Cathedral or called “NHa Tho Duc Ba Sai Gon” in Vietnamese and Central Post Office to get good shots for our memory of the big, modern city of Vietnam of French style. And then visit the Reunification Palace, the former Presidential Palace for the president of the South of Vietnam or also called Independence Palace is an important historical evidence, which was the residence of the President Ngo Dinh Diem of the former South Vietnam until 1975 (1960s – Apr 1975s). You will see many interesting things: formal meeting rooms, private bedrooms, war situation rooms 10 meter beneath earth’s level.

The afternoon you will visit War Remnant Museum where we can see countless artifacts, photographs and pictures documenting about the second Indochina war. Next you will visit Cho Lon market, China town & Thien Hau Temple. At the market you will have chance to see and buy local handicrafts, textiles and souvenirs, as well as local cuisine. Overnight at hotel.

Day 17 Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi tunnel

Have breakfast at hotel. This morning guide and driver transfer you to Cu Chi District where you visit the network of Cu Chi Tunnels which was famous in Vietnam war. The tunnel has the underground one over 200 km where included kitchens, homes, hospital, living room, weapon factories… The tunnel system was an excellent way for the Vietcong to move around the countryside undetected by the Americans and home to around 10,000 people who lived underground for several years. This is an opportunity for you to understand a period of Vietnam war. Back Ho Chi Minh city.

This afternoon you are free to enjoy your balance time at hotel or walk around the city to have more experience and enjoyment of the city. Overnight at hotel.

Day 18 Ho Chi Minh – Mekong Delta on bicycle – My Tho – Vinh Long

Have breakfast at hotel. This morning at 8.00 am you leave Ho Chi Minh to My Tho on support van with cycling tour guide. En route you have chance to pass through rice field, beautiful landscapes. On arrival Tan An you will start your cycling day trip through the peaceful villages, rice fields and orchards. It is an interesting experience to see water buffalos and duck farms on the river.

In the afternoon you will continue cycling through villages to reach Cai Be where you will take a boat across Mekong River to enjoy the local life, get more experience the charms of Binh Hoa Phuoc village with peaceful landscapes and local friendly people. You will check in homestay in Vinh Long and enjoy the local life with the family

Day 19 Cycling Vinh Long – Can Tho (BL)

Have breakfast at the family. This morning you have one more day cycling on Mekong Delta through the island to experience the village life, meet local people and learn more of their daily work. After that you continue your journey to Can Tho City. En route you have more opportunity to interact with local farmer and know more of their life and culture beside enjoy the beautiful landscapes along roads. Arrive in Can Tho, check in hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 20 Cai Rang floating market – Ho Chi Minh (BL)

Have breakfast at hotel. This morning you will make a boat trip to visit Cai Rang floating market. Cai Rang floating market is one of the biggest one in Mekong Delta with hundreds of boats to gather and have purchasing activities with local products of foods, tropical fruits… After that you will make a wandering to the villages in Can Tho to have more enjoyment of the local life, visit rice paper mill and rice noodle making factory. Cross Monkey Bridge is an interesting experience when you try to walk through the single bamboo. Next you will cycle through the village to admire more of the beautiful village scenery.

This afternoon you will be on support van for return Ho Chi Minh City. On the way you will have more chance to enjoy more of wonderful tropical orchards along the roads. Arrive in Ho Chi Minh, check in hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 21 Ho Chi Minh depart (B)

Have breakfast at hotel. You have more free time to explore Ho Chi Minh city as your own way. Then the driver drops you off the airport for taking fight departure Ho Chi Minh to next destination or back home. Say goodbye Vietnam & see you again!
